CODY PLAYS
Cody is a playmaker. He is currently based in Boston and Provincetown. He runs a small theater company called CODY PLAYS.
CODY PLAYS are hyper-local one-act plays written by Cody Sullivan in the span of a few days for different groups from his community. They are performed one night only at the Gifford House. The plays take place weekly in the summer and monthly in the winter. They are free to attend.
Cody is the playwright in residence at the Provincetown Theater for 2025.

Provincetown Theater Residency
Cody will spend his residency creating his own play, The Dune Inn, to be produced in late October, as well as playing with each production in the Provincetown Theater’s 2025 season.
Cody will write his own play based off of each of the theater plays, and invite their cast to perform it alongside his company. The plays are:
May 8th - 25th, Angels In America Part Two, Perestroika
June 5th- 29th 4 Star Solo Show Festival
Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike July 14th - August 28th
The Jack of Hearts Club, October 2nd-19th
A Christmas Carol, November 20th - December 7th
These plays will be performed at the Gifford House. They will be based on the original works, as well on the historical context of each play, and the playwright who created them, (as a nod to my position here as playwright in residence at the theater.) They will also highlight the stories of the actors and crew in the production.
The first play will be ANGLES IN EURASIA Part Two, Paranoia

“The results are fabulous, ephemeral creations…They only exist in the minds of those who were there and how that memory reverberates in the ether thereafter, a purposeful thumbing of the nose at our digital culture that has us overstimulated and increasingly living via imagery or remotely rather than communally, with in-person experiences.” - Steve Desroches, Provincetown Magazine
